Waterbury is a city located in the state of Connecticut. It is located on the Naugatuck River. Waterbury is located 33 miles southwest of Hartford. It is also located 77 miles northeast of New York City. Waterbury is located in New Haven County. The population is about 110,366. Waterbury is the 10th largest city in the New York Metropolitan Area. It is also the 5th largest city in Connecticut and is the 9th largest city in New England.

Waterbury is located along the Yankee Expressway or Interstate 84 and Route 8. Those are also the two main highways that run through the heart of the city. Waterbury has a Metro-North railroad station and this is connected to Grand Central Terminal.
