It happens in early September, and is located on the Allentown Fairgrounds. It has been held there since 1889. The first Allentown Fair was held back in 1852. Between 1852 and 1899 it used to be held at the “Old Allentown Fairgrounds”, which was located just north of Liberty Street between 5th and 6th streets. The Collegiate Marching Band Festival, is held yearly since 1995 at the J. Birney Crum Stadium. There are other marching band festivals and competitions held here as well.
